Power of the Faith Voice

"...for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you."
--Matthew 17: 20
The Transformative Power of Faith
Every day, faith leaders around the country see first-hand the devastating impact of our nation's unjust health care policies on people in their congregations. Because our faith calls us to envision a world based on values of love, compassion, mercy, and justice, we are compelled to "put our faith into action" and pull the levers of change that will make our vision a reality.
At a time when our nation's health care system is weighed down with innumberable roadblocks to change, the prophetic voice of the faith community can serve as the wake-up call, to help our nation's leaders push past the inertia and other forces acting to preserve the status quo and build "the Kingdom of God" here and now.

PICO is a non-partisan organization that does not support, endorse or oppose candidates or political parties. PICO is not aligned with any political party and works with Republicans, Democrats and Independents to promote policies that strengthen families and improve quality of life in communities. We encourage people of faith to consult and study the policy positions and teachings of their own faith traditions on health care and other important issues.
